Unwind with this foot reflexology massage that re-establishes the energy flow throughout your body. Your body will feel relaxed and any pain eased while I press gently on acupressure points with a traditional Thai wooden stick. The stick I use has been blessed by a Thai Buddhist Monk. You will then chose between oil or cream as I complete your therapeutic treatment with an invigorating foot massage.
Thai foot massage is an ancient holistic procedure that dates back 2000 years and was originally kept a secret while being passed down through generations by the Buddhist monks of the Thai Royal Palace.
It is the application of pressure onto particular areas of the soles of the feet using hands, fingers, thumbs, knuckles, and a rounded wooden stick with your choice of lotion or oil. The main purpose of Thai foot massage is to free up blocked energy within the body’s many sen lines (Thai-based meridians) to produce a deep and unique feeling of balance, relaxation and well-being. There are 10 major energy lines that run throughout the body from the top of the head down to the soles of the feet, where they end as pressure points. It is these that provide a map of the whole body and the organs. By stimulating these we are able to encourage the balance in the body’s various systems, and healthy blood circulation, keeping the whole body harmonized.
Thai reflexology is known as a therapy to foster general good health and mental serenity. Crystals of calcium and uric acid (toxic wastes) that have built up are dispersed. Circulation the entire body is improved.
You will certainly leave the session feeling relaxed, yet energised and uplifted!
