YOGA STARS is part of a feature campaign hosted by Vibrant Yogini where an experienced yoga teacher or enthusiast was interviewed about their beautiful journey learning yoga, as well as their newfound views as a yoga practitioner.
It was created to try and remove the gap between confident and expert yogi’s, and those who have just started to practice yoga or who are curious to learn more about it.
The truth is, and especially as an experienced yoga teacher myself, we never want you to feel intimidated or discouraged to start learning yoga.
Therefore, it is important to remember that each and every yoga teacher started fresh from the beginning as a newbie once upon a time.
So take a read of the yoga interviews and learn more about the experience of each participant as they share their story. The main aim of this campaign is to motivate you to continue your journey no matter where you are on it.
Designed to inspire your yoga practice and encourage you to follow your dreams.
“Yoguineando are humor cartoons whose objective is not only to inspire but also to support the yogi. By parodying yoga, the practitioner is expected to identify with the positive and negative feelings of the practice that only make us a better version of ourselves.” ~ Julia

5 years ago when I suffered from vertigo and anxiety
- Read 16 more reasons to do yoga
What got you hooked?
The fact that there was no competition and I could feel the results in my body and mind very quickly
What is your favourite asana and why?
Mayurasana because that is the first advance asana I could do, it made me feel empowered and that is why I continued practicing although later I discovered that is not the purpose of yoga.
Where did you do your training/s and what courses have you completed?
Mostly in London with amazing teachers but I practiced also in Spain and Italy.
A YTT certificate is very important but I think you become a better teacher when you do your self-practice daily and take classes and workshops with other teachers.
How has yoga impacted your life?
It gradually changed everything and it is still doing it.
It gave me the opportunity to live a better life and now it’s giving me the chance to teach others how to do that

Which type of yoga do you teach/ specialize in?
Vinyasa Flow and acroyoga so far. But I love dharma yoga and yin yoga as well.
What do you enjoy about this particular style of yoga?
I love the fact that there is a style of yoga for every person and every mood.
I don’t think you have to stick to just one style.
Of course you cannot teach them all but I think you lose a great part of yoga if you don’t practice and make the most of other styles.
What is your favorite asana to teach (and why)?
Inversions, because people usually are very scared of them and when they see is not a big deal and they enjoy it, it fills me with joy and gratitude.

To make people learn yoga while they have fun, to make it accessible to everyone, to make it real.

Teach as many classes as you can, and when you feel comfortable enough, teach as many as you can so you don’t burn out and enjoy them!
